Our two-year-olds have many opportunities to experience and explore their environment through their five senses as they sing, move, and play. From the discovery table to the paint easel, the children learn about shapes, colors, feelings, nature, the community, and how things work. Gross motor development is a focus at this early age as children need to strengthen these skills to support fine motor activities. In addition to outdoor play, the children participate in music and movement activities to enhance this area of development.
The development of oral language is emphasized in the twos so that each child may become a successful communicator. Our two-year-olds enjoy learning how to interact and play cooperatively while learning how to follow a simple routine.
