Two-Year-Olds

Class is for toddlers who are two years old by Dec. 31.
Two-day classes on Tuesday/Thursday and Monday/Wednesday

Our two-year-olds have many opportunities to experience and explore their environment through their five senses as they sing, move, and play. From the discovery table to the paint easel, the children learn about shapes, colors, feelings, nature, the community how things work.  Gross motor skills are a focus at this early age as children need to develop these skills before they are ready to work on their fine motor development – holding pencils and cutting with scissors – to prepare for Kindergarten. The children have a lot of time for outdoor play and indoor large motor activities, including music and movement.

The curriculum also emphasizes the development of independence and of language skills. Our two-year-olds enjoy learning how to interact and play cooperatively with one another while learning how to follow a simple routine.

Our student-to-teacher ratio is two adults per 10 children. Classes meet two days per week—Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.
